Police Recover 20 ‘Stolen’ Vehicles In Osun

Osogbo – Again, detectives from Osun State Police Command have recovered 20 vehicles, allegedly stolen from members of the public in the state by a four-member robbery gang.

It could be recalled that 19 vehicles were also recovered from the same gang, January this year.

Fimihan Adeoye, the State Police Commissioner told journalists in Osogbo on Tuesday that the suspects are: Kehinde Badmus, leader of the gang, Adeleke Timothy, Akoodu Olufemi and Adenle Babatunde Olusola.

In addition to the 19 stolen vehicles recovered by operatives of the Anti-Robbery Squad, January 31, this year, the operatives also recover additional 20 stolen vehicles from the gang members. 

“Number plates and colours of the stolen vehicles were changed and the operatives tracked the vehicles through chassis and engine numbers.”

“we are not resting on our oars as investigation are still ongoing to recover more vehicles and we hereby appeal to people whose cars were stolen to check at the command if their vehicles are part of the ones recovered. “ he said.

He said eight identified persons, whose cars are part of the recovered vehicles were already at the command to collect their vehicles.
