– Spanish duo of Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas, alongside Gary Cahill and Emerson Palmieri had dinner in Dubai after being excluded from their country’s squad for the friendly games this weekend
– Spain are expected to play Germany and Argentina on March 23 and 27 respectively
– Meanwhile, Cahill will be hoping to impress his coach, Gareth Southgate, to make England’s World Cup squad this summer
Four Chelsea players were sighted at the Salt Bae’s famous Nusr-Et restaurant in Dubai following their non-inclusion in their national team squads for this weekend’s FIFA international friendly games across the globe.
Cesc Fabregas, Alvaro Morata, Gary Cahill and Emerson Palmieri are having a swell time as they dined out at the flamboyant chef’s flagship venue on Tuesday night.
The former Barcelona star was accompanied by his girlfriend Daniella Semaan as they posed for a selfie with the chef, Nusret Gokce in a hall filled with other guests at the restaurant.
Fabregas, while posting the picture on his instagram account, appreciated their host for treating them to a sumptuous dinner: ‘with my friend Salt Bae, thank you for a great night!’
Meanwhile, Morata and Fabregas are the notable names missing from Julen Lopetegui’s team for the upcoming clashes with Germany and Argentina on March 23 and 27.
The have had a fairly underwhelming season with the Blues this season – a year after winning the English Premier League title last May.
And the former Arsenal captain has insisted that he will make his country’s squad for Russia 2018, saying “I am not a player who throws the towel.
“I have a small hope, in some way, but I know it is hard (to get called up for the World Cup),’ he explained earlier this month. ‘I haven’t received any calls or been included in any team list for all this time.
“I am focusing now on my club because, in the end, if you don’t do right things in your club, it is impossible to receive the call. And if it finally arrives, perfect. If not, I will support the team from home.”
Cahill’s hopes also seem bleak with England manager Gareth Southgate leaving the defender out of the friendlies against Holland and Italy. The former captain has started just one game for Chelsea in the past month.
According to Daily Mail, Salt Bae is a Turkish chef — real name Nusret Gokce — who shot to fame in January when a video of him sensually preparing a t-bone steak and finishing it off with a fanciful flick of salt went viral.
The video increased his social media followers by several millions, with a host of the world’s superstars visiting the restaurant which also exist in Miami and New York.
